Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th of August in 1976. Audrey is the elder child of four. Since a young age, her dentist surgeon parents and her teacher mom supported her love of theater and drama. This passion that overshadowed her initial wish to be the first primatologist. She rose to prominence as a child actor quickly and enjoyed huge success. Her career began in earnest at the age of 1999 when she started acting professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou participated in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was raised in an Catholic home and went to religious services, despite having was a student at school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. As well as her acting profession, she pursued a modeling career. Also, she is the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Her photography is also a hobby and she has recently displayed her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrities, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her rise to fame in the film Amelie. Also, she has several photographs that show herself. Audrey Tautou's worldwide popularity and success exploded following her performance in the film as Amelie Poulain's leading actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office hit, receiving accolades at awards galas around the world. The film is still the most successful French film of the French language on the market in US. In the following year, she starred in British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's The long day of the fiancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
