She started her career with Fox News Channel, as the general assignment reporter in 2005. Following a few years as an anchor, she joined for Fox Report Weekend. Julie Banderas' career has seen her cover several major problems, including the hurricane Dennis, the disappearance and trial of Terri Schiavo. The award was presented to her as the Outstanding Single Newscast Emmy Award from the Emmy Awards in 2004 due to the coverage she provided of the Republican National Convention. An experienced journalist who has a powerful voice, she attracted international attention for her criticism about US president Donald Trump when he made remarks that were sexist towards the role of a television anchor.
